ABOUT US
Haxby Shotokan Karate Club is a JKS associated club with a proud 40 year history. We are a friendly club and our training sessions are open to all abilities and fitness levels from age 6 onwards.
Our priority is, and always has been, our members, which is why we are proud that we have always been, and will always be a totally non-profit club. No member of our club, including instructors and committee members receive any payment. This means that we are one of the best value karate clubs in the country!
Training Times
Monday and Thursday
6.15pm - 7.00pm Early Class
7.00pm - 9.00pm Adults & children aged 7+
Training Fees
Children aged 6 to 17 £15 per month
Adults (18+) £20 per month

MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS
Mike Gude
Chief Instructor - 6th Dan
Mike is the Club Chief Instructor with over 50 years experience of teaching Karate. He first started taking an interest in the late 60s and enrolled at York Karate Club in 1970. He quickly climbed through the ranks and was awarded his Shodan grade in 1973 by Sensei Enoeda’s assistant, Sensei H Tomita.
